Are the Anna’s Hummingbird’s back?

This neat blog I stumbled across this morning, West Seattle Birdcam, says they are!   We’ve noticed a few buzzing around our yard, but not as often as during winter.

How low can you go?

Yesterday’s low tide was a minus 3.3 at 1:22 p.m.  …not quite as low as Friday’s which was a minus 3.8.

Are you missing a boat?

Hopefully someone is missing this canoe and not a case of the canoe missing someone.

My husband is trying to rescue the boat.   An update will be posted soon.

Update:  The SPD and Coast Guard have been notified as of 7:40 a.m.

Update 5/19/2007:   The boat has been reunited with it’s Captain…none other than Wookie’s family.   All is good.

What’s with the helicopters?

Well…if you are a West Seattle Blog subscriber, you all ready know that there is a police stand off at 4600 block of SW Brandon (possibly a bank robber).    Stay safe.

Something different to do this Mother’s Day

Looking for something to do…perhaps walk off some of your Sunday Brunch?   The Walker Rock Garden is open today from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Img_5089 The Walker Rock Garden is located at 5407 37th Ave. S.W. , Seattle, Wa 98136.  206-935-3036

A tip of the hat to Marlow Harris for posting this on Unusual Life…I wudda never known!

The garden will reopen on Sundays from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. starting June through Labor Day.

Rock on!

Update:  I just had to see it for myself and I’m glad I did.  The daughter was there and told stories about the different things her Dad built and how hard he worked on his art.   To view additional photos that I took for my personal Mother’s Day treat…click here.
