Someone Needs More Coffee

Perhaps its me. I was just driving along Beach Drive to take the kids to their bus stop when someone in a dark truck passed me. I was going 30 mph (a.k.a. the speed limit). After this person passed me, they actually slowed down to 20 mph.  No one was behind or in front of us.  And I’m not interested in passing anyone on Beach Drive or entering into a game of road rage.  I just don’t get it.

I think I’m going to pour myself another cup of coffee when I get back home.

This post was written with my Treo…waiting at the bus stop with my kids.

Eats Market Cafe

Img_6272I’ve been waiting  to check out this highly reviewed restaurant in the heart of Westwood Village…the place was packed and after a ten minute wait (we cruised neighboring shops) we were seated.  We decided to go for our favorite "brunch dish"Img_6273_2…Heuvos Racheros.                          Eats Market Cafe did a nice job…their Heuvos is completely different than Blackbird Bistro’s in West Seattle.   Easts Market Cafe rest the eggs onto of a generous helping of black beans and salsa verde.  The eggs are topped with home made guacamole.

I will have to return to sink my teeth into a Rueben–my favorite sandwich and Iunderstand they may have the best in Seattle.  I’ll report back when I do.

Where is your favorite spot in West Seattle for breakfast?

Beach Drive Blog’s 500th Post

I won’t announce every time we reach a certain post…but this is a significant milestone in the life of a blog.   Thanks again for everyone who reads, comments, lurks, sends photos and contributes to Beach Drive Blog by writing articles.

I’m always looking for Beach Drive neighbors who would like write about whatever is going on in your neighborhood along Beach Drive.  The more active writers we have, the richer the content will be…and hey, as much as I love doing this…I certainly can’t do it all!  (I do have a "real job" and a family to raise, too).

So I’m using this milestone as an opportunity to do a "shout out" the our neighbors–if you live in the neighborhood and would like to write for the blog–please let me know.

Here are some great examples of past posts from Beach Drive neighbors:

Community Yard Sale by Susan

Beach Drive’s Little Italy – LaRustica Restaurant by Natalie

There’s plenty to write about and we need you!  Writing a "post" for a blog is just as easy a sending a friend an email.  I promise!

Oh Canada

It’s amazing what cruises through our "back yard" the Puget Sound.   This photo was taken just a few moments ago of HMCS Vancouver (FFH 331).
