MISSING: Have you seen Stinky the Chihuahua mix?

This just in:

I have been missing my Chihuahua mix since October 25th. He went missing from 37th and SW Henderson in West Seattle. His name is Stinky and he weighed about 12 pounds when he went missing. He has “KN” tattooed on his ear and is tan colored with a smooth coat. PLEASE CALL 206 795 5742 if you have seen him or know where he is. REWARD for his return.

Better watch your step!

If you’re one of the many humans being walked by your dog along Beach Drive, you may be wondering when the Mutt Mitt boxes will be refilled. You’re going to have “hold it” until at least year-end according to the Seattle Parks people I’ve talked to. Lack of funding and having to prioritize needs will be the theme for the remainder of this year.

One thought is to load up our local boxes with those biodegradable produce bags you get from grocery shopping. These boxes are located along Beach Drive at Cormorant Park, Mee-Kwa-Mooks, Lowman Beach, and the north entrance to Lincoln Park. I’d eat my (clean) shoe if Seattle Parks funds bags over employees in the foreseeable future.

Got stale corn chips? Fee-e-e-e-e-ed the Goats!

Well it looks like the off-again/on-again feeder for the goats off Jacobsen Street is officially gone. We have not had chance to chat with owners to learn why the feeder is down. They do have a sign that welcomes all to feed the lovely goats their favorite snack, corn chips, and to keep visiting Bama, JJ and Deli. The bell is gone too…my hunch is that one of the neighbors wasn’t too happy with it. However, if you call the goats names and give a few hearty “ba-a-a-a-ah”s, they will make their way up the hill to visit you and enjoy any snacks you have to offer.

Instead of throwing our old chips, crackers or tortillas into the yard waste, we’re keeping them for our neighborhood goats.

Aren’t they cute!

FOUND: Orange Male Tabby Cat [REUNITED!]

UPDATE JULY 7, 2014 – THIS JUST IN: The cat was reunited with it’s family this weekend. We also posted flyers and I am unclear which one (posting on the blog or the flyers) brought the owners over. I was working with my neighbor Cheri to find his home and she is the one who worked with them. But anyway, thank you very much for your quick response and assistance posting his message. 🙂 Have a great day!

Found: Cat

Are you missing a stocky cat? This kitty has been hanging out around 58th and Chilberg.  A Beach Drive neighbor describes the kitty as:

“He has a long tail and was not spooked by me but would not come near me. A bit larger than the average with thick looking legs. He did not seem feral but wary. He is not here any longer but hung out for about 20-30 min. Hopefully he is just roaming and will go home but he does not look like any of the neighbors cats and the raccoons are back so wanted to check…”
