More of “Before”
This is a continuation of the post documenting the homes that are applying for zoning changes along Beach Drive.
Are YOU the Most Stylish Man in Seattle?
Or do you know who is? Seattle Metropolitan, along with University Book Store and Project Runway’s Tim Gunn are in search of the most stylish man in Seattle.
To nominate someone…click here.
The most stylish men will be invited to take place in a preliminary judging round on May 1.
Beach Drive’s Little Italy – La Rustica Restaurant
If you don’t feel like fighting for a table at Beach Drive’s only restaurant, La Rustica, order to go! The other night we enjoyed Lamb Shank, Spaghetti, Salad, Cannelloni, and their famous bread in our living room. We saved the pizza for later!
In usual La Rustica style, everything was fantastic. We think the balsamic braised Lamb Shank is one of the best things one can eat in West Seattle. Maybe you have smelled it cooking while on an evening walk? FYI, the order taker said 25 minutes but it turned out to be an hour.

Don’t Forget the West Seattle Pet Rodeo…
…and Snooty Walk tomorrow on April 21st. We originally posted information about this last month.
If you go, please take photos…we would love to post them on BDB.
Beach Walk and Treasure Hunt
I was asked from Stephanie at People for Puget Sound to post an upcoming event for BDB readers. On Sunday, April 22, 2007 from 1:30 – 4:00, you can go on a low tide beach walk along Beach Drive.
Kids are encouraged to join in the fun by bringing trash bags to pick up litter which they can then create recycled art and win prizes!
This event begins at Charles Richey Sr. Viewpoint (Constellation Park) 63rd Ave SW and Beach Drive SW.
Space is limited for this event, please RSVP. What a great way to celebrate Earth Day.

Before and After (after to follow)
We have a couple homes along Beach Drive that are currently slated to have some major changes to them. I thought it would be interesting to track the progress and when it’s all said and done, feature a "before and after" post. Of course I’ll include an after photo of the house I posted the other day "going up".
Here are two such homes:
West Seattle Blog has posted information about residential tear downs most recently happening on California. The Seattle PI also covered the topic of teardowns and Seattle’s historic bungalows biting the dust just a few months ago.
Beach Drive Artist
We have just added local Beach Drive Artist, Steve Klinkel, as a link to the Beach Drive Neighbor’s Blogs and Websites section on the left column of site. Check it out!
