If you don’t feel like fighting for a table at Beach Drive’s only restaurant, La Rustica, order to go! The other night we enjoyed Lamb Shank, Spaghetti, Salad, Cannelloni, and their famous bread in our living room. We saved the pizza for later! 

In usual La Rustica style, everything was fantastic. We think the  balsamic braised Lamb Shank is one of the best things one can eat in West Seattle. Maybe you have smelled it cooking while on an evening walk?  FYI, the order taker said 25 minutes but it turned out to be an hour.

I’m very pleased to introduce, Natalie.  This is her first contribution to Beach Drive Blog.

We are fortunate to have a new,  authentic French bakery up on the hill called Bakery Nouveau!  Chocolate, Pastry & Bread!!  David & I tried the ham & cheese baguette, turkey & havarti croissant, pepperoni pizza and a brownie. Everything was delicious and my next trip will be for some brioche.  If you are looking to wow someone on Easter, they have beautiful handmade chocolate Easter eggs filled with chocolates.  Although I was sad to see Borracchini’s leave, the treats at Bakery Nouveau are just what us West Siders needed!
