Daisy’s poster must be on every pole in West Seattle. If you’ve found or seen this missing Boston Terrier, please contact the owners at 935-1865. There is a reward.

The Everlasting Gobstopper of Sunsets
How Low Can You Go?
What’s going on at Jacobsen and Beach Drive yesterday?
I received this email from a concerned neighbor this morning…I don’t have any answers, do you?
Yesterday (4/8 at 3:00 pm), I saw 3 trucks and about 6 guys (all with clipboards and wearing orange vests) on the water side of Jacobsen and Beach Drive. One of the truck had "Waste Management" on it. I was wondering if you knew anything about this or what their up to.
Could this have something to do with the sea wall and where the grass is sinking along the park? Inquiring minds want to know!
Power Point Presentation of the Alki Sidewalk Project
Hat tip to Larry Carpenter, Membership Secretary of the Alki Community Council for sharing this information about the proposed sidewalk linking Alki to Beach Drive:
If you missed last Wednesday’s public meeting on the Alki Point sidewalk project, here’s the link to SDOT’s website and the PowerPoint presentation. Just scroll down and click on the Alki project to view the slide show. It’s not too late to send your comments pro or con to SDOT’s Sidewalk Program Director Sandra Woods, telephone 733-9408, sandra.woods@seattle.gov.

USS John C. Stennis, Sail Boats and Yacht Photos
While I was taking a break, my husband captured several photos that I want to share with you.
On March 28, 2008 the Aircraft USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) was cruising through Puget Sound leaving Bremerton after six months of pampering and upgrades to get her into "ship-shape" form.
The very next day, March 29, 2008 we were treated to a sail boat race. Does anyone have more information on this event?
Later that afternoon, a "ghost ship" passes by…
And last but not least, it appears Delta Marine was cruising one of their luxury yachts. I believe this one is the Marama. Delta Marine’s most famous yacht is the Laurel.
I’d like to dedicate this sunset to JP Patches
Today: April 3, 2008 is Good People Day
If you know me at all, then you know I’m a wine lover. I also get a kick out of Gary Vanderchuk, a wine reviewer who uses funny, easy to understand terms for us "normal" folks who don’t know what lychee, bilberry or acacia smell like. The burgandy colored Wine Library TV badge on the lower left side of this blog is a link to his wine reviews.
Good People Day is all about recognizing all the fine folks in our lives. Gary is trying to do this via the web and fellow bloggers. I can’t help but support his efforts.
I’d like to recognize all our neighbors, BDB readers, friends and family and all who do good. Thanks, Guys, you’re the BEST!
Spread the word!
It’s been a little while
I’ve taken a few days off and I’m looking forward to sharing some photos with you that my husband has snapped in my absence. Coming soon!
How about this early April Fools joke Mother Nature is playing with us…did I really just see snow?
