Car Prowled yesterday

I received this email from on of our neighbors:

“ I live at 3800 block of Beach Drive and someone went through my car… they just looked through it and took a couple of things…”

Just a reminder to keep you doors locked and to call the police when something like this happens.

Another Beautiful Night

Beach Drive neighbor, Larry, sent us this photo saying it sums up our last few gorgeous sunny evenings.

Is it too soon for “deck season” to officially begin?

LOST CAT: Have you seen Isis?

This just in from a Beach Drive neighbor on the 4700 block:

I came home tonight to discover that one of our cats had gotten out while we were away. She is a small grey cat, missing one eye. She is not wearing a collar, as she’s an indoor cat. She’s pretty skittish, and doesn’t like to be held, but will come to my voice.

We are fostering her and do not know if she is micro-chipped.

If you see Isis, please call 206-601-0113.

Have You Seen a Missing Buoy

This email came in last night from a Beach Drive neighbor:

My neighbor’s large round mooring buoy broke loose last week. It’s white with black numbers. It floated away from the 5400 block of Beach Drive. She’s asking anyone sighting it to please call 206-734-5992.

LOST CAT: Have you seen Charlie?

This message is from Charlie’s human/owner:

HELP! I’M LOST!

My name is Charlie. I live at 54th & Alki. I am a 3-year-old orange and white fixed male cat, and I went missing on Thursday 07 March around 8:00PM. I am an indoor cat, and if I ever get outdoors I usually hide, making it difficult for you to see me. I am pretty skittish around other cats and animals, but am known to be pretty vocal when called by name. I would really like to be returned to my home, so if you have seen me recently or know where I am, please contact my owner.

Thank you!

Scupper reports that the cost of this salvage is being paid for by the derelict boat fund which is a $3 additional fee on boat tabs. For the record, the Skipper’s tabs on his power boat are up to date.

UPDATE 10:08 am: More video of the salvaging of the trimaran.

LOST DOG: Streaker – UPDATE: Streaker is FOUND!

The Skipper has his boat!

Thanks to a couple of good people in our community, the “Skipper” has his power boat out of Puget Sound waters by Cormorant Cove Park and Harbor West Condominiums.

I’m sure he really appreciates the kind help he had from the West Seattle community and beyond during this unfortunate event.

Anyone have a winch to help out “The Skipper”

The “Skipper” of the sunken trimaran is trying to rescue his power boat. He is at the boat ramp at Cormorant Cove Park by Harbor West Condos (3701 Beach Drive SW). The ramp does not allow motorized vehicles so could use a little help – and he needs it soon or he’ll be fighting the tides which are going out around 11:30 this morning.

If someone has a motorized winch – something attached to their 4×4 vehicle that he could use to pull his trailer and boat up and then hook up to his van, the “Skipper” will be on his way.  He’s trying to save the last of his boat.

He would greatly appreciate any help.

A couple neighbors from the condos across the street were awoken from the noise. One neighbor said it was so loud, they thought it was in their building.
