Low and High Tides
This photo was captured yesterday pretty close to the low tide of -3.7.
High tide was 12.0. This weekend features some of the lowest tides of the year! If you’re not going to the Fremont Fair to celebrate the Summer Solstice…hanging out at home and walking the beach is a very nice option.
Beach Drive Condo Comparison
Redfin recently did a comparison of what a couple of condos on Beach Drive sold for…if you would like to read more, click here.
I’m not sure what side of the street the units are on (some address numbers are odd and others are even).
Team Up with Tully’s for JP and Children’s Hospital
On Tuesday, June 19, 2007…all day long…Tully’s will donate 20% of all store revenue to support the JP Patches statue fund and Children’s Hospital.
Please support your local clown and Puget Sound treasure. We have Tully’s conveniently on Alki and Fauntleroy in West Seattle.
Or…you can purchase a Patches Pal Paver and have your name along side
this beautiful statue to be located in Fremont. The statue will have JP and long time friend, Gertrude standing next to ICU2 TV. The TV will have a slot to accept donations for Children’s Hospital and any surplus funds raised to build the statue will also benefit Children’s.
These photos are from the unveiling of the future statue that took place earlier this year during February in Fremont.
My husband surprised me the following month when JP Patches appeared at my
birthday party! Yes…obviously, I’m a Patches Pal. And I (along with many) adore JP. I remember watching him on KIRO in the wee hours of the morning before school and getting to watch him again after school. I always looked forward to seeing him. JP Patches show aired from 1958 to 1981 entertaining and teaching many of us Puget Sound Natives in our younger days.
Don’t be a Gorrrssssst…support JP! Besides…your donations are tax deductible.

Sick Bird Feeders
Thanks to West Seattle blog for posting this on their blog about a deadly outbreak impacting local birds from tainted feeders.
