Many homes are currently without power along the Beach Drive neighborhood following last night’s windstorm. Our weather system actually clocked a gust of 71 mph at 2:40 am. We didn’t lose power until around 7:30 this morning…about the time I thought we were out of the woods. As I write this (around noon), we are still one of the homes without power. I’m thankful that the temps are warmer and that it happened during the daytime.
It’s still gusty and there is a Small Craft Advisory in effect until 7pm tonight.

HIGH WIND WARNING is now an hour earlier since our last update – starting at noon today with gusts up to 60 mph. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wind warning that cautions people to stay in the lower levels of their home! (See below). The GALE WATCH has been elevated to a GALE WARNING, which means the weather is imminent.
