LOST CAT: Have you seen Charlie?

This message is from Charlie’s human/owner:

HELP! I’M LOST!

My name is Charlie. I live at 54th & Alki. I am a 3-year-old orange and white fixed male cat, and I went missing on Thursday 07 March around 8:00PM. I am an indoor cat, and if I ever get outdoors I usually hide, making it difficult for you to see me. I am pretty skittish around other cats and animals, but am known to be pretty vocal when called by name. I would really like to be returned to my home, so if you have seen me recently or know where I am, please contact my owner.

Thank you!

Scupper reports that the cost of this salvage is being paid for by the derelict boat fund which is a $3 additional fee on boat tabs. For the record, the Skipper’s tabs on his power boat are up to date.

UPDATE 10:08 am: More video of the salvaging of the trimaran.

LOST DOG: Streaker – UPDATE: Streaker is FOUND!

Please keep your eyes out for Streaker. He’s a lost black and tan dog missing from the 4300 Block of Beach Drive around Emma Schmitz View Point.

The Skipper has his boat!

Thanks to a couple of good people in our community, the “Skipper” has his power boat out of Puget Sound waters by Cormorant Cove Park and Harbor West Condominiums.

I’m sure he really appreciates the kind help he had from the West Seattle community and beyond during this unfortunate event.

Anyone have a winch to help out “The Skipper”

The “Skipper” of the sunken trimaran is trying to rescue his power boat. He is at the boat ramp at Cormorant Cove Park by Harbor West Condos (3701 Beach Drive SW). The ramp does not allow motorized vehicles so could use a little help – and he needs it soon or he’ll be fighting the tides which are going out around 11:30 this morning.

If someone has a motorized winch – something attached to their 4×4 vehicle that he could use to pull his trailer and boat up and then hook up to his van, the “Skipper” will be on his way.  He’s trying to save the last of his boat.

He would greatly appreciate any help.

A couple neighbors from the condos across the street were awoken from the noise. One neighbor said it was so loud, they thought it was in their building.

Found: Gym Bag

We received this message last night from a BD neighbor:

This morning where 59th turns into Chilberg (corner with SW Douglas pl)- was a gym bag that had looked ruffled through, clothes pouring out of it, it seems as if someone had stolen it and gone through it then tossed it out. The clothes are nice outdoor and gym clothing – at least if the bag was stolen from someone’s car last night, they can get their clothing back?? Or if they drove off with it on top of their car?? I left it out on the corner hoping it was a neighbors, but no one has claimed it.

Several Police Cars on Beach Drive

Moments ago, we counted six or seven police cars on Beach Drive by Emma Schmitz View Point.

From the West Seattle Blog:

If you’ve seen the police response near Me-Kwa-Mooks Park and are wondering what’s going on: Police were looking for someone reported to be possibly in danger of harming himself, and, according to scanner traffic, found him, and were calling in an ambulance to get him some help.

Sunday update on the wrecked Trimaran

Just a few photos to provide an update this morning on the state of the trimaran which is tied up by the Harbor West Condos. A small debris field is next to the boat and it appears very little debris is in the park.

No swimming or wading allowed at Cormorant Cove Park

Yesterday the Seattle Public Utilities posted a sign by Cormorant Cove Park off of Beach Drive warning the public to not swim nor wade in the Puget Sound waters.

no wading

This happens to be near where the trimaran and power boat wrecked by the Harbor West Condominiums. However it is our understanding that the officials were originally called out for a possible sewage leakage from the condominiums and not for the situation with the boats.

Stay tuned.
