I was just on Facebook when I noticed that the West Seattle Blog commented that it's going to be be unusually windy today. I had just checked the forecast yesterday and the forecast has been modified (which is why it's a good idea to check the forecast).

This is perhaps the ONLY thing I miss about working in TV news, even 2 1/2 years after leaving … There is always a meteorologist on staff, so when a forecast takes a dramatic turn like this, he/she comes down to the newsroom and starts shouting about it! At Q13, Walter Kelley (on the night shift) was great about this, as was morning meteorologist M.J. McDermott. In the post-TV life … I wouldn’t have known this was coming except for the fact that Cliff Mass tweeted Tuesday night that a storm was brewing!
