LOST CAT: Have you seen Malcolm?

Greetings Neighbors,

Our sweet Malcolm has been missing since snowy Saturday, Dec 3 from the 5600 block of Beach Drive. He is a prolific hunter and likely trapped and starving somewhere. Please check basements, garages, crawl spaces and sheds. He is 5-yrs-old, neutered and microchipped. Affectionate but can be skittish. Good at hiding, especially on high shelves.

Found or sighted, please text/call Phyllis 425.591.4019

Warning for Parents and Dog Owners about Lincoln Park

We’re just learning from a neighbor that a dog passed after ingesting meth while on a walk at Lincoln Park.

We don’t have information about exactly where or how this happened. The events are very recent and we just wanted to warn neighbors to be careful of their two and four legged loved ones.  Honestly, this tragic event could happen at any park. 🙁

We are heartbroken for the family who lost their beloved puppy.

FOUND! Missing Cat: Have You Seen Casey?

UPDATE: Casey is back home with his human. 🙂

Casey is a 6 year old male Bengal cat that has been missing since Saturday from his Beach Drive home. He is neutered and micro-chipped. Please call 206-937-8009 if you’ve seen Casey. His humans miss him terribly.

UPDATE: FOUND! LOST DOG: Have you seen Hilo?

UPDATE: Hilo has been reunited with her family!!!  According to her facebook page, she was found near Lincoln Park. All tails are wagging at our home that this is a happy ending.

Hilo has been seen in the Seaview neighborhood and on Beach Drive.

This message is from her owners:

She is a 9.5 year old lab mix. 42 pounds – thin build. Black coat with white chest and back paws. Grey muzzle. Orange flower collar. Chipped and tagged. Spayed. Lots of dental work. Very shy, will not approach humans.

Please tell people, if they spot her to call us immediately at 814-441-8271. If possible, calmly try to keep her in view. Don’t approach. Don’t call her name. Don’t make eye contact. Crouch low and if you have treats drop some on the ground. She might come to you, but if you pursue she’ll definitely run.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

We hope Hilo and her humans are reunited soon!

Found: Blue Parakeet

A Beach Drive neighbor says:

“Spotted a lost blue parakeet on the railing near the north end of Constellation Park at Benton Pl SW & Beach Dr SW about 2:40 this afternoon. It then flew from the water side of the street to the pine trees at the north end of the treatment plant.”

UPDATE: Kitties are indoor/outdoor… Are these your cats?

UPDATE: Bernie and Manny live in the neighborhood and are indoor/outdoor cats. No worries! 🙂

These two sweet cats are hanging around 61st and Beach Drive. Are they yours? If so, let us know or visit the West Seattle Connection group on Facebook to be reunited.

Missing Cat: Have you seen Nubbinz?

If you’ve been on Alki near 64th you’ve likely seen my fliers for Nubbinz. He’s been missing for 10 days now, and I am worried out of my mind. He went missing just before we were scheduled to move. I set up camp on our last night in our empty apartment with a shrine of cat food and catnip willing my precious boy to come home, with no avail. We are officially moved out of what he considers home and my heart is so broken. But we aren’t giving up hope. We will continue to search for him nightly. Asking anyone and everyone to please keep their eyes and ears open for him. Feel free to visit my Facebook page, like and share my photos with his description and other info.

Is this your kitty? UPDATE: Kitty has been reunited.

UPDATE: “Bubbles” has been reunited with his owner. 🙂

This sweet friendly orange and white short haired kitty was running along Beach Drive and Jacobsen.

There’s black gold in them thar hills!

A local neighbor proudly shows off what his truffle snoot’n dog dug up in one of Beach Drive’s parks.

As I was on my routine dog walk (on leash w/ doo bags), a long time resident and park steward stopped me to show the latest treasure unearthed by his Golden Retriever. Apparently this isn’t the first truffle sniffed out of the woods. Rescued at 2 years old, the golden was rumored to have had truffle training before his previous owners had to give him up. Before writing this post, I was sworn to secrecy as to the exact location of the digs but guarantee to have MY dog in truffle school immediately!
