Young Eagle or Osprey?

I really can’t tell…I’m not an expert.  I just happened to spy this bird when I was walking my dog a few moments ago.

  1. That is an immature Bald Eagle. Ospreys have a more “pointy” wing tip and eagles have the “spread fingers” wing tip.

  2. Paul Cozens says

Yes, young Bald Eagle. An Osprey is about half the size of this bird and should have headed south by now.
